The Malaysian Red Crescent Penang Branch had organized a heritage walk on 11th Oct 2009 (Sunday).
The walk was encompass the heritage precinct of inner Georgetown. This year marks the first anniversary of Georgetown being listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. The walk started from Esplanade at 8am.
Apart from the walk, a lucky draw also being held. There were numerous prizes including a motorcycle courtesy of Boon Siew Honda Sdn. Bhd.
Members who collected RM30 were all entitle to take part in the walkaton.
Those who donated a mininum of RM300 entitled to take part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
